LEX NUSANTARA: Journal of Lex Syar’i and Positive Law upholds high standards of publication ethics and is committed to maintaining integrity throughout the article publication process. These ethical guidelines apply to all parties involved in the publishing process—namely authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher (Lembaga Berugak Baca). These guidelines refer to the standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Present original scholarly work free from plagiarism.

  • Declare that the submitted article has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal.

  • Accurately cite all sources and references.

  • Ensure that all individuals who contributed to the work are properly acknowledged and listed as authors with their consent.

  • Present data honestly and transparently, and be prepared to provide raw data upon request by the editor.

  • Notify the editor if any significant errors are discovered in the published article, to allow for corrections or retraction.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Take full responsibility for all content published in the journal.

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively, regardless of the authors’ race, gender, institutional affiliation, or political views.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

  • Refrain from using unpublished materials from manuscripts for personal gain.

  • Take appropriate action if there is a suspected breach of publication ethics.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Review manuscripts objectively and professionally, based on scholarly quality and without personal bias.

  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts under review and do not disclose their content.

  • Provide constructive feedback to help authors improve the quality of their work.

  • Decline the review if they feel unqualified in the subject area or have a conflict of interest.

Responsibilities of the Publisher (Lembaga Berugak Baca)

  • Ensure that all publication processes adhere to ethical and scientific standards.

  • Provide full support to editors in handling cases of suspected ethical misconduct.

  • Maintain a reliable publishing system and properly archive the journal’s content.
