JOEES: Journal of Elementary Education Studies is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. We implement digital archiving practices to protect scholarly work from data loss, server failure, or discontinuation of the journal.

Digital Archiving and Preservation

To guarantee permanent access to the scholarly record, JOEES archives its publications in the following ways:

  1. Institutional Repositories
Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version of their articles in their institutional or subject-based repositories immediately after publication.

  2. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS (optional, if used)
(Include this only if your journal is integrated with LOCKSS/CLOCKSS systems)
JOEES utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries, allowing libraries to permanently archive the journal.

  3. National Repository (Indonesia)
JOEES intends to collaborate with Garuda and Neliti as part of Indonesia’s national scientific repository network, to enhance preservation and dissemination.

  4. PKP Preservation Network (if using OJS)
For journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS), JOEES plans to register with the PKP Preservation Network (PN) to ensure long-term digital preservation.

  5. Internal Backup
JOEES maintains regular offline and cloud-based backups of the entire journal database, including published articles, metadata, and editorial data.

Self-Archiving by Authors

Authors are permitted and encouraged to archive their articles in:

  • Institutional repositories

  • Subject repositories (e.g., Academia.edu, ResearchGate)

  • Personal websites

...immediately after publication, with proper citation and a link to the official version on the journal website.
